With 26 internationally judged distinctions, our graduation a couple of weeks back was testament to the high standard we demand at Jackie Cameron School of Food & Wine. The graduates have all been employed, and I am confident that they are well prepared for their chosen careers in the demanding, yet exciting, culinary industry.

Midlands Chef Honoured with Silver Service Award

At a formal, black-tie ceremony on 28 February 2019, Chef Jackie Cameron was awarded a Siege Mondial-approved Silver Comandeaur (10 years’ service) by the Bailliage de KwaZulu-Natal Chapitre of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.

Gourmand Awards: Third Place in The World

Imagine achieving third place in the world. Well, with help and encouragement from many enthusiastic folk, the Gourmand Awards jury judged Baking with Jackie Cameron (Struik Lifestyle, an imprint of Penguin Random House South Africa), the best pastry/baking cookbook in the world. And that was in a competition considered the Oscars of the food industry. I’m sure you will understand that I am thrilled beyond words.
