Pastry asks for care at every stage: a well-made base, a balanced filling, attention to texture and a neat finish. A final assessment brings those details together, giving students an opportunity to show how confidently they can turn technique into something a guest will enjoy.
For visitors, the pleasure is in both the food and the craft behind it. This is an invitation to enjoy the students' work in the setting where their practical skills develop, and to celebrate the creativity they bring to the table.

The afternoon centres on the students' final pastry assessment work, with a selection of sweet and savoury delights. The individual items will reflect what the students prepare for their assessments.
