I was privileged to be a guest speaker with Mpume Langa, regional executive of Absa Private Banking, in August last year, at a Ladies’ Day function. Her inspirational message was highly memorable because it resonated with my philosophy. Be proudly woman, wear your skirts and your makeup with dignity - and always remember it’s hard work and determination that will get you where you aspire to be.
In this present moment I’m reflecting on the excitement that’s building up for the October graduation of the school’s first student intake. I’m also thinking about January 2017 that will see our second group being introduced to the demanding yet exciting world of culinary arts.
And then there’s the immediate future, with its year-end functions, that is fast creeping up on me. Among other tasks, this means letting Midlands folk know that Jackie Cameron School of Food & Wine can take care of your culinary needs, giving you the host/hostess the opportunity to enjoy your own social occasion.
