Our logo captures the spirit of the place that is Ataraxia: a tranquil and serene setting, where small vineyard blocks are carefully nurtured on the many varied aspects and slopes, which are interspersed with wild meadows of indigenous mountain flora. A heady concentration of ancient, virgin terroir paired with an emotive sense of the areas history and potential, offers an opportunity to create wines of expression that seduce the senses and reflect the elegance and finesse of this beautiful valley.
Ataraxia’s tasting room, The Wine Lounge is situated on what has been described as “surely one of the most spectacular and dramatic positions in the whole wine world”. Built as a chapel in the vernacular architectural style of the region, it offers a place for relaxed contemplation of the three wines in our range. These are: an unwooded Sauvignon Blanc, a wooded Chardonnay and a red blend which we’ve called Serenity. The final member of the quartet, Pinot noir.
