Aspiring Chefs... Enrol For Our Work Experience Programme

I strongly advocate that aspiring chefs enrol for our work-experience programme. This helps them to make an educated decision about joining the exciting, but demanding, culinary industry. Julia Whitby, a Grade 11 pupil, recently took up our offer. She now has an idea of the behind-the-scenes work and was thrilled with all she learned. Her words succinctly convey her feelings:

“Thank you for such an amazing experience! I now know what it is like to be a chef student and what happens in a 'practical day' at Jackie Cameron School of Food & Wine. I have honestly never enjoyed something so much and I am excited to come again - that is if I am allowed. Your students were so friendly and professional - and willing to let me help them!. Hopefully you will see me there soon, because when I left I said to my dad that this was what I wanted to do 'when I grow up'.”
