Herbs and Spices at The Oxford Symposium on Food and Cookery

Congratulations to Chef Andiswa who presented her take on Herbs and Spices at The Oxford Symposium on Food and Cookery.

A proverb from the bible states “We as human beings, are the salt of world” So, God knew that the world needed flavour and portrayed it using humanity.

Jackie Cameron School of Food and Wine and South Africa were represented so well on a platform of such high international regards at The Oxford Symposium on Food and Cookery (the oldest and most preeminent conference on food and history, in the world).

Harold McGee, the mastermind himself said to Chef Andiswa, after her presentation: “You were terrific! We could have listened to you for hours.”

Chef Andiswa presented a heartfelt personal address on her take on herbs and spices here in South Africa. I myself would like to thank the inspiring and hugely knowledgeable Anna Trapido for taking our calls on some indepth knowledge on this topic too.

Here is to next year and Chef Andiswa going overseas and meeting all these fabulous people she has now made connections with. How life is so wonderful and how special relationships are. Doors do open for those who put themselves out there, well done again Chef Andiswa!
