Kate Martens is the photographer responsible for portraying my dishes to you, the reader. Together we have enjoyed truly memorable moments - her with camera in hand and me with mixing bowl and fork. As a tribute to her dedicated professionalism, I asked Kate to pick three favourite photographs from her Jackie Cameron School of Food & Wine portfolio.
She chose the divinely-decadent, hot-cocoa drink with nougat; and the pancakes with grilled banana, Frangelico chocolate sauce and roasted hazelnuts. That should satisfy one seriously-sweet tooth. And then she went ‘super cool’ with the new-age South African trifle.

Kate has remarkable talent that encompasses wedding; family; maternity; and new-born baby shots; as well as, love; creative-collaboration; furry-friend; fashion; party; and event images. You name it she does it - with the care, and attention to detail that comes from the heart.
You may remember some of today’s recipes so, if you haven’t tried them, now is the time. Know that each dish tastes as good as Kate’s pictures portray them!
