Farmer's Daughter Powa Bars

Ingredients:

  • 200g Butter, softened
  • 2 cups brown Sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spice
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup cranberries
  • 1 cup sesame seeds

Method:

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 180 degrees centigrade.
  2. Cream your butter and sugar for a good 5 minutes, until pale and fluffy.
  3. Add your vanilla and mixed spice and egg, continue beating.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients and mix together well, grease a baking tray and press mix into your tray.
  5. I also like to sprinkle over some chocolate chips before I bake the bars.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and slice into your desired shape, I slice into rectangles about 4cm wide and 9cm long.
