Dear Jackie,

I write this on the one month anniversary of Aimée’s graduation. What a memorable and very proud day that was for Mark and me as parents!

Before any more time slips by I wanted to write to you from both of us to express our profound gratitude to you for all you have done for Aimée during her 18 months as a student at your school. From the moment you recognized her passion for all things culinary when she attended the week long cooking course at your school in Grade 10, to your encouraging her to enroll full-time in 2021, she embarked on a course that brings her true fulfilment and joy.

Seeing how alive she was and so happy at the end of every long and busy day made us realise that she had indeed found her true calling and was on the right path. Thank you for mentoring her and pushing her to step out of her comfort zone at times and for your belief in her and for instilling that belief in herself.

She had many wonderful, fulfilling and enriching experiences during her time as your student and benefited from meeting so many colourful and talented chefs during her Cape Tour. Your own passion for what you do is evident and this is communicated to your students and in turn ignites and inspires them to strive for excellence. Being a student at your school has given her the best training and foundation from which to launch into her chosen career. Aimée is keenly aware of what a privilege it is to have trained at the Jackie Cameron School of Food and Wine.

Thank you for supporting and encouraging her during her work placement experience at Chef’s Warehouse, which has also been an immensely successful and rewarding experience for her.

Finally thank you for recognizing her talents, her commitment and dedication, her determination and exceptional work ethic and for acknowledging these on Graduation Day. Mark is still beaming with pride and joy!

I know that we as a family will continue our association with you for many years to come and that we will be able to count on your continued support of Aimée as she forges her own path in this diverse and exciting industry.
