This is an experience with a difference. Like nothing Durban has seen before. It’s excessive, it’s outrageous, and it’s Wickedly Odd.

Fabulous Food to be had at WICKEDLY ODD - The Night Garden
Durban Botanic Gardens: 20 November - 6 December 2015

Wickedly Odd – The Night Garden is a sensational dining and innovative entertainment experience, perfect for year-end corporate functions, to be held in the Durban Botanic Gardens over the festive season: from 20 November until 6 December.

"Wickedly Odd – The Night Garden is not a show, a dinner, or a party. It's a gloriously unusual festive dining and multi-sensory entertainment experience unlike anything you will have ever experienced before. We invite you to slip behind the moss curtain of fantasy and immerse yourself in our captivating world of botanical peculiarity, four metre flamingos, marvellous praying mantis's, aerial acrobats, beetled barmen, feathered barmaids, burlesque dancers and cantankerous crows." Says Ben Voss – one of the event's producers.

Chef Kathryn Stone will be hosting a tasting to engage with some of Durban's finest about the proposed menu. Present at the tasting will be Aaron McIlroy (performer), Lisa Bobbert (performer), Sky Tshabalala (sports journalist), Darren Maule (radio presenter / comedian), John van de Ruit (author), Zama Masikane (flamingo) and Beauty Ramapelepele (event hostess and businesswoman).

The meal is a visual and sensory delight. Loosely themed as a 1920s garden party is the carefully-crafted five course menu. The canapes will be served in the sunken garden, followed by the dinner in the Garden Shed.

The food totally complements the setting; the appearance and presentation is amazing. I love The idea of being teased by the food in not knowing what is coming up next. I think Wickedly Odd is going to be a whole unique experience!
— Sky Tshabalala (enthused)
This is a unique culinary experience with its own style and flavour. It has exceeded my expectations. I am really excited! I think the concept has cult hit potential, John van de Ruit loves the freshness of each course: It’s my kind of outdoor eating: good and natural!
— Aaron Mcllroy (concurs)
